Summer Needs To Come SOON!!!

Summer needs to come soon, not because I am ready for the heat, although (if I can toot my own horn) it will be nice being 60lbs lighter this summer. Anyway, I NEED a break. We are always running.

Last night, I got off of work at 5:00, picked Jayci up, picked Danaka up, took Danaka to her dance class that started at 5:30, went home changed my clothes, changed Jayci, made Jay a bottle, picked Danaka up from dance at 6:15, grabbed our "getting old" fast food, took her to her game that started at 6:30. She did great. Her team is so fun to watch. Good job Danaka. As much as I am ready for summer, it has been so fun watching Danaka do something new. Anyway, this is pretty much our life. I think Jayci probably thinks that she is just suppose to live in her car seat most nights. It will be nice for summer to come, we won't know what do with all of our free time. I am sure we will think of something though.

Also, last night after Danaka's game we stopped by my sister's house so that I could do K'Lynn's hair. I have found the trick to crimmping. Lots of hairspray, and doing it the night before. The next morning, it still looks great, but just isn't quite as big. K'Lynn is going to have such a neat opportunity today. K'Lynn got asked to sing at something for parents trying to adopt and birth mother's. The song is called "My Mother's Love". It made me cry. It is a child singing. It talks about how one mother was there to hear her first cry, but the other one was there to help with daily trials. It is so beautiful, and very touching. Good Luck K'Lynn. I know you will do great. I will try and post a copy on here, if I can get it from the Keddington's, if not I will post the link to their blog so you can listen to it. You will need a tissue.

Starting next week, I am going to do some catching up. I will write about something from the past every week on Wednesday. I am calling it the "Turner's Turnback" (thanks Angela). Since I am going to be using this as out family scrapbook, it will be a good way to get caught up.

I hope everyone has a great week.

Dance Dance Dance!

Well another competition down and one more to go. Danaka had another dance competition today. She did AMAZING. She has grown so much, I love being able to be a part of something that I have always held so close to my heart, something that has been a part of me almost my entire life.

Danaka dances with girls that are 4+ years older than her. It is so funny to watch Danaka, she is small anyway, but you put her with those girls that and she looks even smaller. Way to go Danaka, you can sure hold your own!!!

The groups did great. We didn't stay for awards, I couldn't do that to Jayci or me :-) Jayci is such a home body, and you pay for it the next day. She has to get all the attention that she felt she missed out on the day before. Hopefully Danaka understands.

I put some pics in a slide show, poor Jayci, but at least she had her glow worm to keep her company. She really does do a good job. She loves to watch the dances and listen to the music, but she just can't seem to get her sleep time in. I can't imagine why.

Congratulations to Danaka, you did a great job today.
