First things First....I miss my Danaka. Danaka left for Mill Hollow this morning, and I already miss her. I know that she will be fine, but she truly is my best friend, I hate not having her around to talk to, and I certainly miss my 40+ text messages that I get a day from her.....
I am so proud of Danaka, on Friday Danaka received the "Hope of America" award at school. Only a few 6th graders get this award. It is based on everything that they have done in elementary, grades, activities inside school, it completely shocked me when we were writing her essay how many things she participates in, and she is only in 6th grade. She has been in Magna Music Makers, Safety Patrol, Crime watch, Cyber Corps, band and office aide. Plus she has never received anything below an A-. Plus everything that she does outside absolutely amazes me. I am so blessed to have her as a daughter. I truly don't deserve her. Way to go Danaka I am so proud of you!
Second...I won Tim McGraw tickets on KBull this morning. I am so excited, I don't ever win anything. I got to my mom's work this morning to take her something and I showed her my hands they were shaking. I am not sure if it was because I was excited, or because I was still nervous. Who knows, but who cares I still WON!!! I have a decision of who to take...do I do the nice mom thing, or I am selfish for one night, and ask a certain someone??? Anyway I am sure that I will have a blast... Tim McGraw here we come.
Here are just a few things that we have done the past month: (there are pics below)
- Dance Competition at Lagoon.
- Trip to the Zoo
- Dance Competitions
- Softball Games
- Softball Closing Ceremonies
- Memorial Day festivities....
- Mother's Day (which was the absolute best!!! My wonderful friend Tye (it's Amanda but that is what I call her, got our company tickets for the Jazz game that day. She was nice enough to share 2 of them with me. So Danaka and I had a mother's day date at the Jazz game. We had 8th row tickets and had the time of our lives.)
- Band Concerts
- Business Trip to Seattle.
- And so much more....
We are doing well....Jayci is getting to be so much fun. She is still so small, she, at 6 months weighs 14lbs, and is 24 inches. I can't believe she is that little. She is so fun but quite the little fire head. She is very particular and lets you know if you have not done something correctly or in the time that she set for you. I love my Jay.....
Well, I will do better about updating. Things are starting to calm down. I hope that everyone has a good week :-)
